Asked to give some details on this agreement, Board of Directors member, John “The Greek” Leontakianakos stated,

The WPA has created a partnership with UBS. They will be providing complete financial benefit offerings to our membership base. This includes 401K, IRA, estate planning, life insurance, and most importantly, individual and family health insurance plan.

As most poker players are self employed, they do not have benefit packages and in the event of illness most are not covered. Now through the WPA, poker’s governing body, they can get the same benefit package available as if they worked for a major corporation.

The WPA is pleased to extend these benefits to readership base in the US.
