SHEFFIELD, UK, July 29, 2009 – PokerPlasm Europa’s Public Relations Director (UK Division), Sir Graeme Frost, hinted to the Sheffield Observer that PokerPlasm, Inc. is in the process of moving their headquarters from their current location in Austin, Texas to Eastport, Maine. The recently knighted executive was discussing many topics at a local public house and mistakenly made public confidential information.

Notified of this incident, Mr. Trevor Holewinski, Chief Executive Officer of PokerPlasm, Inc., was visibly perturbed. “At this time…,” stated Mr. Holewinski, “I have no comment concerning any relocation to Eastport or elsewhere.”

Anonymous sources close to the company say Mr. Holewinski has already made the decision to relocate but finalizing financials and employee benefits with union representatives are taking much longer than expected. Analysts believe a possible spring 2010 move is the most likely scenario.

Both magazines ceased print versions in March 2009. The company is privately held so no financial statements have been made public.

Another event at the Twitter Poker Tour is upon us! After 3 successful weeks of great poker play, week 4 promises to not disappoint. Much like previous events, a bounty has been added, but the player to be identified has not been revealed. Who will it be? Will it be an opening deal decision? The wait is nerve racking.

Now, you might be asking, what is the Twitter Poker Tour? The TPT Board of Directors states, “It is a weekly online poker game modeled after the comfy ‘home game’. Just a group of online friends playing poker.” Sounds fun, right? If you have said, “YES!”, then sign up occurs at TPT:Poker Stars Central Command. You still have plenty of time to register. The event begins tonight at 9pm EST.

As with previous TPT events, PokerPlasm Europa has published this week’s issue as well. The big featured stories are:

Exclusive interview with the Poker Spokesman, Ari Pietarinen. This guy is going places, so keep tabs on him. In addition, he shares tips and knowledge that can help players grab that edge.

Our reporters uncover that the Lee “The Jester” Cambell is working on a sequel to A Jester’s Tale. PokerPlasm was associated with the first film and we are trying to correct that mistake.

We track down John “The Greek” Leontakianakos and get his feelings on his appoint to the World Poker Associations’ Board of Directors.

Finally, we have started a weekly piece identifying players who should not play poker. Street3 is this week’s winner… and could possibly be every week’s winner from now on.

Help the Twitter Poker Tour continue to grow! For twitter search fanatics, the hash tag #tpt is being used on twitter for updates and trash talking. The latest talk can be viewed here.

Did you get your copy? Well you should. There is a ton of information in this month’s issue. A lot going on in the poker world that is non-WSOP based.

I just flipped through it rather quickly, but here are the main points I picked up.

Steven “Grundy” Murphy really put his foot in his mouth this time. His Who Killed Poker Chat? piece has the poker masses very upset. What is this guy thinking?

The editorial by BizarroGrundy is spot on. A fresh take on poker in my opinion.

Street3 is back in jail…no surprises there.

Nothing about The Jester, thankfully.

A fantastic hand analysis article by Complete Poker Rules, called Villain in Early Position with AA! Vote today!

And finally, The HoneyDipper Invitational is gaining momentum. This tournament is going to be huge. Even the twitter community is jumping through hoops to register!

This honor, given out on an annual basis by the Society of Poker Players, is a tribute to gross incompetence, shameful gambling patterns, and utter poker inability.

Other notable candidates were Whiskers (Society of Poker Players Cat) and the citizens of Sheffield, UK.

PokerPlasm Europa was the first to report on this breaking story. Asked what he thought of the only award he has won in the poker arena, Mr. Cambell had this to say,

This is a bunch of bollocks!

Asked to comment further, Mr. Cambell pushed this reporter and cameraman away, and walked briskly into his Sheffield home. Before slamming the door, he replied with,

They…you…everyone will hear from my attorneys.

Another losing case for Mr. Cambell’s legal representatives, Beasley & Drabble Associates. More on this story as it becomes available.

A lot of action is on the horizon for 2008 – a big year for tournament play. Can the membership handle it?

Digging deeper in the interview, you will read that FFcowboy pulls no punches in this exclusive. No apologies are made for his remarks towards various freeroll whores, poker scum, and assorted garbage.

Playing The Jester is like fishing, just throw a line out and he bites every time.

He gets right down to the nitty-gritty and lets the membership know where everyone stands, a unique and refreshing approach.

He is quick to add that a big freeroll is scheduled for tomorrow and invites all that are interested. Here is the important information he has passed on to us.

Poker Site: Doyle’s Room

Excerpt from the September 2007 PokerPlasm Europa issue,

What are the biggest differences between UK/European poker and the US style?
The biggest difference for me is the level of bad attitude and misplaced self belief the Yanks have as opposed to UK players, I’d rather not discuss the continental types as they are nothing more than froggy snail eaters and idiot Krauts. So yeah the UK poker player is more shrewd and has better manners where the Yanks are all talk and mainly scum. English players are the best in the world, except for Dave Devilfish, he has spent too long with the Yanks and is as irritating and full of crap as they are now.

So to recap, the English are the best, followed by the Scandinavians (they only have 3 hours of sunlight so make good poker players) and the worst players are the Yanks. And to further clarify my statement, that includes PokerPlasm and World Forum Poker members who my research has proved are 97% scum and terrible players as well as awful people.

Anyone getting tired of listening to The Jester?

We are sick and tired of his constant yapping, and are willing to pay to have him shut it! And well…here is your chance. On October 4th and October 5th, you will have a shot at taking out The Jester. The Freeroll Event on October 4th will have $50 in prizes, a PokerPlasm t-shirt bounty on The Jester’s head, and the winner will also receive a signed autographed picture of The Jester and a PokerPlasm t-shirt. The Buyin Event on October 5th will have $20 added to the prizepool, a PokerPlasm t-shirt and $10 bounty on The Jester’s head, and the winner will also receive a signed autographed picture of The Jester and a PokerPlasm t-shirt.

Oh and by the way, the PokerPlasm Europa article has been getting so much (bad) press for The Jester, his lawyers have actually tried to withdraw it!

From Beasley & Drabble Associates (legal representatives of Lee “The Jester” Cambell),

The quotes used in the PokerPlasm Europa magazine article were taken out of context. We are discussion with the publishing house and asking that they withdraw this article, and offer a full unconditional apology, as well as an out of court settlement to compensate for tarnishing this great gentleman’s reputation.

So come on out and let’s teach The Jester what us Yanks are made of on the poker table!
