USA arent that good. Enough said. Best player is probably Tim Howard who is at Everton.

A bit of unaspired football from the Yanks.

I thought we would give it a better go, but that is about par for us at the moment. Big games we fall apart.

Well played match by the English, got to give them credit.

I expected the yanks to be better tahn they were. I remember when they didn’t even know the rules and they gave England a twonking. Very upsetting.

One of my favourite stories is when USA hosted the world cup, they wanted to break it into 3 or 4 “periods” for advertising! They wanted to make the goals bigger! Apparently they thought it wasn’t interesting enough!

Any way, I rate Howard and also a few of the USA squad are decent players but not enough of them yet. I foresee USA and teams from Asia being huge footballing nations within he next 10 years so this will be interesting to see the best teams not being European anymore.

We have a lot of youth playing soccer right now, but our pro league (MLS) is still lackluster, and not many fans attend.

It will take a good decade, like you said. And soccer isn’t our national sport, football, basketball, and even baseball rank high.

People thought after the World Cup, how big soccer would be here, but it was just a fad. Like football in London last year, yeah lots of people showed up, but if there were 16 games a year, it would die out.
