What would you do if one of your neighbours sat and watched while someone stole one of your vehicles and did absolutely nothing?

Probably nothing. Why should my neighbors do anything, the robbers could have a weapon!

I would try to stop them. I hate people thinking stealing is somehow an acceptable way of life.

Admin, do you not think they should phone the police or at the very least called round the next day to tell you what they saw?

I would phone the police and talk to the neighbor, but I’m not going to stop the robber myself.

The reason I asked this question is because my brother had his work van stolen on thursday night. A guy who lives across the road saw 2 lads loading the van with stuff and then drive away in it….it was 4.30 am, he did nothing at all! We only found out that he’d witness the theft because he told another neighbour yesterday. I personally think that makes him a total w**ker but I was just trying to find out if that is normal behaviour.

I would call the police and probably yell out the window. I would not confront them. I live on a main road with a lot of traffic so not much happens on our road except for a lot of garbage.

Yes he knew whos van it was. It was locked….they smashed the drivers window (the glass was all over the road) and they must have broken the lock on the back doors.

I would have gone outside and confronted them and chased them off for sure. Believe me when I say that I would make sure my first hit would make it a one on one fight after that. I hate these type of scum low life who steal from hard working people.
The older I get, the more willing I would be to end their miserable lifes. I used to be wishy washy liberal but now I would batter them.

If I was watching someone’s stuff get stolen I would call the cops quietly and tell them what was going on. I wouldn’t alert the bad guys, unless they were leaving, so I can watch them get busted too.
