Playing 9 handed in a 2-5 cash with a $15 straddle and have 6c4c on the button and call, player lets it go and its 5 way action. (all players have over $700 straddle has $1,700)
Flop 2c3c5c
straddle leads out for $5 and cut off raises to $20 and I just call, so does the small blind. straddle re raises to $65 and I am the only caller.
turn Kd
straddle checks the turn, would you check the turn? and hope he boats on the river.

I would check, because he was the straddler he probably doesn’t have anything anyway. You are going to have to make a small callable bet on the river to get any action.

A Straddle is a blind raise from UTG with the option to raise (steal the big blind) usually double the BB, but can be any amount. This is a home game and most casino’s will allow this as long as it is in the dark.

I think he has something decent, AK, AA, or AK. I am throwing a smallish bet, just to see if he calls or even raises. A fold here doesn’t disgust me because if he is folding, my guess is he folds the river as well.

The pot is over $200 and the raiser is the only one left, if he had a pocket pair he would have raised preflop most likely with the straddle to $100, if he had a draw he would not re raise.
I put him on 2 pair or TP (5) with the Ac.
What happens if the river bricks???

You could go all-in and try and make it look like you are buying the pot and hope he is strong enough to call. I would make a value bet of around 1/3 the pot and price him in to call.

I bet $100 on the turn and hope to be raised here, I only get a call. The river is the freaking 4h and I go all in and he folds, says I have two pair LOL. Other two players say they folded the winning hand and I tell them to pull their cards out of the muk and call my all in with their 6 7 connectors. Then they realize what I have.
4h killed any action unless they held the Ac waiting for the nut flush.
