Lets look at the hands that could potentially have you nervous. First, at worst a chop is possible if your opponent has another K-10. Lets just say that for arguments sake he's got the best possible hand to go against you which would have to be Kc-10c, and Qh-Qc. The Q's are better here (specifically the Qh) because it eliminates the Royal Flush draw. If that's the case, you've still got great odds (nearly 5 to 1 on his straight being out drawn by any other heart, making your flush the nuts) and your opponent needs another A, Q, J, or running pairing cards to hit his boat (which is about a 30% chance, making you an almost 3 to 1 favorite). You're way ahead here, and you need to bet, especially since he's on the button and has position on you. A bet shows that you've got a monster, especially if you bet the pot, and the odds are in your favor that you'll get paid (even if it is a chop, you'll still be splitting the blinds). While bad beats happen, it's often because we let them. If this guy is behind now, he's either going to 1) fold or 2) just call, and you'll have a ton of more information after the turn card comes up. Don't be afraid of betting when you're ahead. My knowledge of Omaha high is too limited but - it seems rather high bet to call with just one out for the royal flush. You do have the nut flush with 8 eights. I am just not sure if you are getting the right odds. Need more experience. Thank goodness I am not in the hand. How can you fold? A re-raise seems excessive here too, in case he turns/rivers a full house or something. You also have a nuts flush potential, which I think would win here.
