What Should You Do When You Can’t Win?

The following quote was a post by MNFulltilt, a regular contributor to the PokerPlasm forum and owner of Full Tilt Mag, a poker magazine that is in transition at this moment.
He was going through a tough time at the tables and wanted to know what other players thought. So I ask you, read the following passage, put yourself in this situation, take a minute, and give your thoughts on what you would do.
I am on a two week streak where I can’t win a race either online or live. It’s getting old.
I rarely put all my chips in on a race so I am not usually losing because of it but it makes it hard to accumulate chips and it’s no fun to always be short stack.

I almost invariably take a break. I mean look, he says “It’s getting old”. It should be fun, so take a small break, a few days or maybe a week. I’ve been there many times, I don’t like starting a session thinking about “what bad things will happen tonight, how many times will I get rivered, who will go runner-runner on me this time?”. Plus, when you’re running bad, you get no respect, your bets get no respect, so it’s just a vicious cycle. I usually take a break, catch up on poker blogs, read poker forums, get my head on straight again and feel refreshed and confident at that next session.
