Isolate with Made Hands

Just as in a Texas Holdem poker game, hands with high flush and straight potential play better multi-way than heads up. With a made hand like a big pair, you would rather thin out the field. However it is difficult to get anyone to fold for just one bet. To isolate, observe your opponents’ hands and betting patterns. If you think the person to your right is likely to bet, check around to them so you can check raise when they do bet. Now it will be at least two bets to everyone in between the two of you, plus the original better may reopen the betting. Now many opponents who would have played for a single bet will fold. If you think the opponent to your left is ready to bet, bet first so they can raise, for the same reason.
