Flopping a Monster

There will be times when you flop a monster only to get outdrawn. The dilemma comes in knowing how much to bet to eliminate beats and significantly damage the pot odds. The more people that see the flop, the more likely your monster is to get outdrawn. The next time you flop top set with straight and flush draws possible you may be a strong favourite against one hand but only a little better than even money against both draws. This is the time to bet heavy rather than lay in wait ie double pot or greater. If you can get one of the drawers out your pot odds will improve dramatically.
